Apex Steel Corp: The Peak Of Safety
Safety is the number 1 priority at Apex Steel Corp. We have an established safety program that has been met with high regards in the industry.
Keeping employees and others safe starts before we even hire an employee. Each employee goes through a fitness test to assure that we have employees agile enough to perform this difficult work safely.
Once hired, our employees are thoroughly trained and subject to random drug testing at any time. Because safety is priority #1, each Monday morning begins with our weekly structured safety meeting. It continues with daily tool box talk, pre planning meetings, site-specific plans, and lifting plans. Additionally, daily safety logs are completed.
Safety Training and Certification
Each field employee undergoes continuous training updates on all safety aspects. Our iron workers are required to have OSHA 10 training for construction and each foreman is required to have an OSHA 30 training as well as training in First-Aid and CPR. Apex Steel Corp works to meet or exceed all safety as per the general contractor’s requirements.
All painters are certified by Sumter coatings and conduct daily worksheets quality checks to document the proper procedure for painting.
Our crane and boom operators are NCCCO certified
